I am so excited to be a part of Lyon Elementary! We are going to have a wonderful year full of learning and adventure.
Here is a little bit about myself. I grew up in Magnolia and graduated from Magnolia High School in 1987. I attended Blinn Jr. College and then went on to graduate from Sam Houston State in 1992. This is the beginning of my 26th year of teaching school. I have taught in many different school districts over the years and I am thrilled to be back in Magnolia!
I have one son, Jordan, who is attending Texas A&M in College Station. In addition to that I have four step children. Three that are in Magnolia and one who lives in Scotland..
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with family and friends, working out, traveling, and just being outside.
This year I will be the Literacy Coach for 2nd and 3rd grade. I will also be one of the ELL/Bilingual Leads for our campus. I am also currently working on my Masters in Educational Leadership at Stephen F. Austin State University.
Together, let's make this a year filled with the joy of learning!
